Thika Girl Jumps to Her Death Over Love Wrangles

On Saturday night, a female student residing in an apartment tragically ended her life by jumping from the third floor.

Reports indicate that the student was said to have jumped from the building’s third floor after an altercation with her boyfriend.

When the incident occurred, the two were cohabiting in a rented apartment near gate C of the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in Juja town.

Residents who were alerted by the disturbance from the fight hurried to the location, but discovered that the pupil was already on the floor with grave injuries.

Some neighbours reported that the student became angry after receiving a message that her boyfriend had supposedly been sent by another woman.

After confirmation, they discovered that the female student had died from her fall injuries, resulting in numerous unanswered questions.

As they began looking into the cold incident, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations stationed at Juja Police Station arrived at the scene.

Previously, there were reports on social media suggesting that the student was from JKUAT. In an interview, though, a source from the university’s security team stated that the student was not connected to the institution.

The vicinity of JKUAT has a history of multiple suicide cases, including an analogous event on Saturday, March 30 of the previous year, when a first-year student took their own life.

Reports indicate that the student enrolled in a Computer Science course leaped from the fourth story of a five-story hostel.
