Moi University Issues Directive to its Graduates

Following its 46th graduation ceremony, which took place a month ago, Moi University has extended an invitation to its graduates to pick up their transcripts and certificates from Wednesday, February 19 until Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

Khaemba Ongeti, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Moi University, issued a formal notice to the graduates instructing them to rigorously follow the 49-day timeline provided when picking up their diplomas.

“Strictly come on the date allocated to your school and program as per your serial number in the graduation booklet,” the notice stated in part.

Additionally, students are expected to present their original identification card, KCSE certificate, and copy (for diploma and bachelor’s degree graduates), as well as their original bachelor’s degree certificate and copy (for master’s degree graduates).

The online clearance form must be printed by all graduates, and copies of the specified documents as well as the original must be brought.

The certificates will be issued at the Main Campus in Kesses Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The schedule states that on Wednesday, February 19, graduates of the School of Tourism, Hospitality, and Events Management will be the first to get their degrees. On Thursday, February 20, 2025, the School of Public Health and the School of Dentistry will follow.

Beginning Friday of next week and continuing through the final week of February, the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the School of Information Sciences, Medicine, and Engineering will pick up their transcripts and certificates.

The certificates will be available for pickup by the School of Arts and Social Sciences from March 4 to March 10 and by the School of Business and Economics from Tuesday, March 11 to Monday, March 17.

Certificates will be available for School of Education students to pick up between Tuesday, March 18, and Monday, April 7.

From April 8 until Wednesday, April 9, Bomet University College will be the last to pick up their credentials.

The changes follow last month’s inauguration of Moi University’s new council by Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba. Ogamba is counting on the new group to bring back the institution’s former splendor.
