Teacher Warms Hearts After Carrying Student for Kilometers to Save Life

A Grade 4 student who fell during an interschool athletics competition was carried four kilometers by a teacher in Ngenyilel East, Uasin Gishu County, leaving onlookers in awe.

After racing in the 5,000-meter race, a 10-year-old kid from Ngenyilel Primary School fainted, drastically altering what was intended to be a routine sport.

Shortly after finishing the tournament at a nearby school, the students and their teacher started to leave for home. During the trip, the student lost consciousness.

On high alert, the teachers hurried to the learner’s rescue, giving him first aid before taking him to the hospital. But the hospital was too far away, so the teacher had to call for help from a biker.

The teacher carried the student for four kilometers despite the urgency of the situation, and the school administration sent an assistant to aid with the final kilometer.

Even though such deeds of generosity are occasionally overlooked, his act of love caught the attention of Kenyans, who have since praised him for his bravery, fortitude, and deeds of charity.

“A motorbike came when the teacher was approaching the destination and helped them cover the remaining distance, the pupil received medical attention and is now doing fine,” said a villager.

“That situation has made us happy as residents, the teacher carried our hearts and we want recognition for that teacher for the good care of our children.”
