Home Owners Under Affordable Housing to be Given Title Deeds- Mudavadi

All homeowners participating in the affordable housing initiative would receive sectional title deeds, according to Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi’s assurance.
The documents would ensure the homeowners have complete ownership of their homes, according to Mudavadi.
According to him, preparations are in progress and appropriate procedures and guidelines have been established to guarantee that each Kenyan who purchases a home unit under the program has complete ownership of the asset.
“Buildings are only one aspect of the Affordable Housing goal. Giving Kenyans the opportunity to acquire real estate and safeguard their future is the goal. Sectional title deeds will be issued by the government. Nobody should mislead Kenyans that they will not totally own their units because the same government grants titles everywhere,” Mudavadi added.
He went on to say that the Affordable Housing initiative’s sectional titles, which ensure home ownership, were implemented by the government.
Kenyans who receive Affordable Housing will be able to prove their ownership with official paperwork for the first time. While guaranteeing tenure stability, these sectional titles would enable families to accumulate wealth across generations,” he continued.
According to the Constitution, which guarantees everyone the right to decent and accessible housing, Mudavadi further reassured Kenyans that the government is totally dedicated to making sure the affordable housing program improves their quality of life.
According to Mudavadi, the affordable housing project is a game changer that will guarantee Kenyans at the lower echelons of the economy the opportunity to own a home in the near future, in addition to generating employment possibilities and stimulating the economy.
“The current government is in charge of making sure that every Kenyan has the right to a good place to live. Additionally, the Bill of Rights guarantees it as a constitutional right,” he clarified.
Those who oppose the program are misinforming Kenyans, who are the initiative’s focus, Mudavadi said.
“You wonder why some individuals are so naive that they refuse to use reason when you witness slum areas like Kibra and Mukuru Kwa Njenga being transformed as a consequence of the affordable housing initiative. Hearing someone oppose such significant progress is really regrettable,” Mudavadi remarked.
According to Mudavadi, individuals who are informing Kenyans that the ownership of the homes under the program will not be recognized are inciting unwarranted anxiety and ought to be disregarded.
Speaking at the funeral of the late Malava MP Malulu Injendi in Lugusi, Kakamega County, Mudavadi joined President William Ruto.
