TSC Invites Women and Youths to Bid for Tenders

Some of the tenders are designated for special groups, but the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has asked vendors to bid on a variety of contracts, including those for the delivery of dust jackets, clinic medications, cleaning services, and insurance coverage.
TSC stated in a notification published on Tuesday through the official magazine MyGov that certain tenders have been set aside for underrepresented groups, such as women, young people, and people with disabilities (PWDs).
The TSC released a formal notice announcing the tenders, which span the 2024–2025 fiscal year. The deadline for submissions is March 18–19, 2025.
To inform women, PWDs, and young people about government procurement opportunities, the commission has also planned a sensitization session.
Bidders that are interested in taking part in the tendering process can obtain comprehensive papers from TSC House’s Supply Chain Management Services Division or obtain them for free via the TSC website and the Public Procurement Information Portal (PPIP).
Among the tenders indicated, the supply and delivery of blue and white dust coats for the TSC headquarters, as well as the provision of non-pharmaceutical items and clinic medications, are only for women.
In tenders like the installation of local area networks at TSC offices throughout Kenya and the provision of window cleaning services, youth-led enterprises have also been given preference.
Additionally, TSC House has set aside a two-year framework contract for youth-led firms to provide inside and external window cleaning services.
The provision, delivery, and installation of local area networks at multiple TSC offices—including one regional office and four county offices in Kenya—is another procurement designated for young people. Youth are also eligible to bid on the same local area network installation project at TSC headquarters.
Certain tenders, including as the one for full group insurance coverage for TSC commissioners and secretariat employees, are still open to all eligible providers and need a Ksh1 million tender security deposit. Likewise, a Ksh40,000 security deposit is needed to provide printer repair services at TSC headquarters.
Before sending bid paperwork, enterprises must register their details by email, according to the commission’s stringent submission criteria.
Bidders must send their documents in sealed envelopes that are prominently marked with the tender number and description in order to maintain transparency. Before the deadlines, these must be sent to the Commission Secretary and placed in the Tender Box at TSC headquarters. Late contributions won’t be taken into account.
The company name, address, tender name, phone number, and email address are all necessary information that interested companies must include in their bids. Furthermore, large documents ought to be sent straight to the TSC House office of the Head of Procurement.
For certain tenders, TSC has also set a pre-bid meeting for March 11, 2025, when prospective bidders can ask questions.
