You Have Only 2 Years Left - Gachagua to Ruto

Rigathi Gachagua, the former deputy president, has reaffirmed that in 2027, President William Ruto will be sent home by the opposition.

Gachagua stated Ruto has “swallowed” the opposition and will now do anything he wants in the final two years of his first term while speaking at ACK Trinity Church in Kitengela Township, Kajiado county.

“I understand that some people believe two years is a long period, but don’t worry, time passes quickly. “Don’t worry, the moment will arrive,” he said.

When the time comes, Gachagua encouraged Gen Zers and Millennials to register to vote in huge numbers.

In the upcoming election, Gen Z and Millennials will finally solve Kenya’s problems. Even though you are performing well online, the actual work is still ahead of you, Gachagua stated.

Politics is a mathematical game, and the numbers are on your side. We have the formula, as instructed by Kenyans. I have never performed calculations incorrectly.

Gachagua was accompanied to the church service by former lawmakers Cate Waruguru and Victor Munyaka, MPs James Gakuya (Embakasi North), Onesmus Ngogoyo (Kajiado North), and Jane Kihara (Naivasha), as well as senators John Methu (Nyandarua), Seki ole Kanar (Kajiado), and Joe Nyutu (Murang’a).

The former DP added that the wave of kidnappings that occurred during Ruto’s first term will hurt his chances of winning reelection.

Officers kidnap and murder young people. Children who are simply fighting for their rights are being killed by the government you run. Ruto’s extrajudicial killings and kidnappings were a major source of contention for me,” he said.

During the peak of Gen Z-led anti-government demonstrations in June of last year, the nation saw a surge in kidnappings; according to human rights organizations, about 100 people went missing.

Later, some of the people who were allegedly kidnapped were discovered alive.

Ruto chose to include the opposition in a new, broad-based government that he said would have the face of the nation in order to put an end to the Gen Z insurrection.

“Abductions will bring you down, even if you band together with the opposition and announce as many roads,” Gachagua stated.

Without providing evidence, the former DP also claimed that plans were in the works to sell the Bomas of Kenya.

When the issue was first presented to Cabinet, I refused. The issue has returned since I left,” he stated.
