Crowd Walks Out As Ichung’wah Starts To Speak, Ruto Left Speechless

An intriguing event occurred when a crowd gathered for President William Ruto’s rally in Tharaka Nithi walked out while the Head of State looked on.

The event occurred on Friday, April 4, when Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung’wah stood to address the audience.

An online footage showed the crowd at the event dispersing immediately after the Majority Leader began to speak.

Interestingly, when Ichung’wah was about to speak, the display was wide-angle, but as the situation progressed, the camera zoomed in, concentrating entirely on Ichung’wah.

This, maybe an attempt to disguise the gravity of the tragedy, was insufficient, as the latter angle still showed the audience dispersing.

While this occurred, Ichung’wah appeared to be unconcerned about the situation and continued to converse with those who remained.

The latest incident comes just a day after Ichung’wah, who was accompanying Ruto on his Mt. Kenya visit, was heckled by an angry throng in front of the president.

Ichung’wah was among the dignitaries who accompanied Ruto to the unveiling of the Last Mile Connectivity project in Ol Kalou Town, as he continues to showcase state projects in the Mt. Kenya region.

The heckling could have indicated more trouble for Ruto.

However, a late-night meeting on Thursday between outgoing Mbeere North MP Geoffrey Ruku and Embu MCAs averted additional mayhem from escalating, since Ruto was scheduled to tour Embu today.

According to reports, Ruto’s visit will be disrupted because MCA members threatened to disrupt it in vengeance against Governor Cecily Mbarire.

The enraged MCAs alleged that they had been excluded from the planning of the President’s visit.

They had sworn to provoke disruption and disrupt the conference in order to vent their anger at the governor, thereby jeopardizing its success.

Following the meeting, the MCAs reiterated their support for the President’s visit, altering their previous position.
