At the same time, KUCCPS denied accusations of a system failure in its operations, stating that ongoing university applications for universities were proceeding successfully.

KUCCPS Director for Placement and Career Development, John Oluoch, addressed the media during a monitoring visit to Nyamache Sub-county. He downplayed worries about the reported technical faults.

He confirmed that the procedure is still ongoing and will continue until April 30, 2025, with a target population of over 246,000 students.

Only those who are eligible for placement in universities, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs), and other post-secondary institutions will be considered.

He mentioned that the organization has strategically deployed workers across the country to help with applications and guarantee that no eligible student was left behind.

Nonetheless, KUCCPS urged those who qualified for the university to submit their applications by the deadline.

This comes after Ministry of Education officials voiced worry that more than half of students who had grades C+ or higher have yet to submit their applications.
