DCI Detectives Nab Woman With Cocaine Inside Her Body
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detained a woman after she was discovered in possession of cocaine worth Ksh1.6 million.
Addressing the public on Saturday evening, DCI investigators said that the 45-year-old was apprehended while concealing illicit drugs within her body.
The raid began when a middle-aged woman, a passenger in a Marsabit-bound Toyota Probox, declined a normal search by police officers stationed along the highway.
According to the cops, while her fellow passengers cooperated with the officers’ checks, the woman threw a fit and refused to be checked by police.
“Her defiance raised red flags, and Moyale detectives swooped in, escorting her to Moyale Sub-County Referral Hospital for a closer look,” the detectives noted.

During a search with the assistance of medical personnel, authorities discovered eight pellets of cocaine weighing 414 grams secreted in her body.
“The seized cocaine, with an estimated street value of Ksh1,656,000, is now safely locked as an exhibit, while the woman cools her heels at Moyale Police Station, awaiting her day in court,” the DCI officers revealed.
The new development comes only one day after DCI investigators apprehended another woman in Moyale, Marsabit County, after discovering 290 grams of cocaine in her hands.

DCI officials, while outlining her arrest, revealed that the woman was apprehended at a roadblock on the Moyale-Nairobi route while traveling to Nairobi.
The cops revealed that during a search, the woman’s behaviour sparked suspicions, forcing the police to isolate her before frisking her, only to discover the pills stashed inside her body.
“The guilty ones are always afraid. Female law enforcers isolated the 28-year-old for a thorough search, thereby confirming their suspicion,” the detectives narrated.
“The suspect has been booked at Moyale Police Station, as anti-narcotics officers take up the matter to instigate legal processes,” they added.
