Police in Kisumu East are looking for a guy who violently attacked his 24-year-old ex-girlfriend, inflicting life-threatening injuries after she left him for another man.
The suspect, Sebi Obonyo, is said to have approached the woman at her current boyfriend’s house in Kamjulu’s Nyakbong hamlet at around 4.45 p.m. Friday.
Obonyo then turned and stabbed her twice in the left ear and chest with a sharp weapon.
“Preliminary information provided by neighbours to the police indicated that the assailant was unhappy after being left by his ex-girlfriend for a better choice, leading him to ambush her while she was alone in her new boyfriend’s house,” the DCI report revealed in part.
Thanks to the prompt response of neighbours who heard her scream and hurried to the site, the perpetrator fled before the worst was confirmed.
