The turmoil followed the institution’s indefinite closure last month when students went on a rampage to protest the deaths of two colleagues who were killed when a septic tank at the school ruptured.
The protests, which occurred on March 23, this year, forced the school principal to send the kids home after they vandalized school property and refused to attend classes.
The deceased were Form Four students and were among a group of learners who were standing on top of the septic tank when the accident occurred, a day before the institution’s temporary closure.

According to witnesses who spoke with the press, more than eight teenagers were standing on the septic tank before it collapsed.
The Rarieda Deputy County Commissioner confirmed their deaths, stating that a rescue squad was quickly dispatched from Siaya town and successfully recovered the learners’ bodies.
The two bodies were found with the help of community members and sent to the Bondo Hospital mortuary.
The injured students were treated at local hospitals.
