Kenyan Student Electrocuted At Prestigious British School In England

A Kenyan is among three students who were seriously injured in an electrical incident at a prominent school in England.

The pupils were hurt and needed surgery after getting shocked by a cable near one of the school’s boarding homes.

The event occurred over the weekend, according to reports.

On Saturday evening, emergency personnel, including an air ambulance crew, a hazardous material unit, firefighters, and police officers, rushed to assist the students, who were later hospitalised.

According to official sources, the three boys were severely burned and required surgery.

“Three students were involved in an isolated accident on Saturday evening where they sustained serious injuries from contact with overhead electrical cables,” the school’s spokesperson said.

“They were supported by Millfield staff immediately, and emergency services arrived within minutes.”

“They are in a stable condition in the hospital, with their families by their sides. There is no ongoing danger to others,” the spokesperson added.

“The entire Millfield Community’s thoughts and best wishes are with them all. We ask for everyone to respect their privacy and avoid speculation.”

He added: “We are working closely with the authorities to investigate how the accident occurred.”

Local police are presently investigating the occurrence, and they have confirmed knowledge of it. Other authorities have also been involved in the inquiry.

“Three people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Their next of kin have been informed,” noted a police spokesperson.

“Following the incident, a referral was made to the Health and Safety Executive, who will lead in any investigation.”

The school is well-known for its athletic prowess, and the Kenyan, whose name is unknown, apparently received a sports scholarship.

The elite institution attracts children of celebrities from all around the world.
