He was closely followed by Erustus Edung, who finished third with a 17 percent approval rating, and Abdulqadir Lorot, who came in fourth with an 11 percent preference rate.
In addition to finding the most desired candidate for IEBC head, the study asked Kenyans about the perceived integrity of the previous three presidential elections.
Furthermore, TIFA’s analysis assessed Kenyans’ confidence in the IEBC commissioner selection process and their knowledge of the shortlisted candidates’ names.
In the media conference, the research firm also revealed Kenyans’ degree of trust in the upcoming general elections, specifically whether they will be free and fair.

The most recent survey came two days after President William Ruto got a report on the recruitment of nominees for the IEBC Chairperson and Commissioners.
The IEBC Selection Panel, chaired by Nelson Makanda, presented the report to the Head of State at State House on Monday, May 5, following a thorough vetting process.
According to the IEBC Act, the President would have seven days to pick eligible candidates for the Chairperson and Commissioner positions before submitting the list to the National Assembly for approval.
As a result, Parliament will have seven days to review the nominees and submit a final list of candidates for appointment by the Head of State.
